The second volume of improvisations recorded as part of a ritual of spontaneous music creation.

The daily work of a musician largely revolves around exercises and explorations in pushing at the boundaries of one's instrumental and creative ability. We try, as much as possible, to be working in the outer reaches of what is comfortable for us in order that we may expand our expressive capacity. The effect of constantly addressing your weaknesses with selfless honesty can be exhausting; I found this emotionally and spiritually draining for many years.

In order to enter a space where I can face my shortcomings with detachment, I have found the ritual of a five-minute unrestricted improvisation to be of enormous mental benefit. To simply create for its own sake with no preconceptions and no standard of success or failure has allowed me to begin shedding the psychological baggage of the ego in a creative setting. It gets straight to the point of creation (creation itself) and reminds me why I love music and have devoted much of my life to the craft of making it.
